This page contains projects that are under construction.

The first step of creating an animated spot is to create a storyboard. These are usually quick and extremely crude. They are created to simply give a feel for the final project. Often, a project will seem great in your head, but when you actually put it all together, it just does not "work." A storyboard is used to trouble-shoot such problems and prevent projects from taking a wrong path. Unfortunately, many of my past projects have omitted this step, causing increased work and wasted effort. This page contains some of the current rough drafts.
This is a rough early version of the second cell phone commercial. I need to add more camera changes before moving on to create backgrounds, shadows, colors, titles, etc. I'll probably also change the final voices to the same voice of my son in the first cell phone commercial. The software used is ToonBoom SOLO.
This project came to me as I was drawing "cell phone #3" and heard some dramatic music from the BBC World News by David Lowe. It is a very dramatic and cool song (Google it and you can hear it online). Unfortunately, I don't have the rights to it, but I started hunting for the perfect song for the project. I found it from a company called "Unique Tracks" at www.uniquetracks.com. They have some great music and you own the rights of use for $37 a song or $110 for a collection of about eight songs. You can even get a low quality version to test the song for free. I liked the results, so I bought the song. This crude screen test (and this one is VERY crude) seems to work. I usually use Sony's "Acid Music," but, this time, I could not get a good result.
